If the Draw toolbar is not at the bottom of the screen click on the Draw
button
on the Standard toolbar

Click and drag a box with the mouse. Click inside of the box and type. Change font, size and style by selecting the words first.

| type your name in the box | |
| select the text by pressing Ctrl - A on the keyboard | |
| select font, size (36 is good) and style | |
| select colour by clicking on the text colour button |
Change the border on the badge
click once on the border, the lines will appear like below![]() | |
to make a change to the border you need to click the border again so that
it looks dotty![]() | |
| now you can use the line tools to change the colour, and the line
thickness (these are on the Draw toolbar) | |
you can make a patterned line by clicking on the arrow next to the line
colour tool![]() | |
| and select Patterned lines (Hint: to see the patterned line clearly you need to make the line thickness as thick as possible, click here to see how to make lines thicker than 6 pt) | |
| you can change the background color of your border by clicking on the Fill
tool |

| if you would like a more interesting background you can use Fill effects | |
| the last stage of the badge is inserting the graphic |
