This is a great way of making instruction cards for teaching and learning. Anything that is on the screen in front of you can be screen captured and edited. For example if you want to take a screen capture of a toolbar...
| open up your application | |
| press Print Scrn Key on your keyboard (usually placed at the top and to the right) | |
| Open up Paint (Start - Programs - Accessories - Paint) | |
| Press Ctrl-V on your keyboard (This is Paste or you could go to Edit- Paste | |
| you will see the whole of your screen reproduced in the paint screen |

| Click on the Square Selector tool | |
| Click and drag around the part of the screen you want (in this case the Standard Toolbar | |
| Press Ctrl - C on the keyboard (or go to Edit-Copy) | |
| Open up the Application you want to insert the screen capture into | |
| Press Ctrl- V |

| If it has black handles around it you will need to make it a floating graphic so you can move it around easily |

| Click on the Text Wrapping button | |
| Select Through | |
| your graphic will now have white handles around it and you can now resize and move the graphic around freely |
