Technological Knowledge and Understanding

Assess |
Learning Experiences: (examine, identify, discuss, collect, observe, compare, read, describe) - Itemise the types of drinks children and adults like to drink - Compare the information by making a graph and make a generalisation about the information collected - Investigate what ingredients are in different types of drinks, decide what particular ingredients make a certain style of drink and categorise this information - Visit Villa Maria to see how grapes are pressed and processed. Use a recording instrument to record what new information is gained that day - Investigate what grapes we are growing at our school and make some suggestions as to what could be done with the fruit when it is ready to be picked - Investigate drink packaging of most popular children’s drink, categorise, compare and decide what makes this a great product. Use a combination of De Bono hats White hat for facts, yellow hat for what is good about the product, red hat for feelings about the product - Investigate what food and health safety regulations need to be adhered to
