Resources: bread packaging egs. different types of bread to taste, examples of bread advertising, books, journals, computer, art materials for planning and design
Situation: Mum always chooses bread that we don't like! She says it is good for us and this the one we should eat.
Design Brief: Investigate, plan and design packaging for bread that will encourage mum to buy it for us
Specifications: - packaging must appeal to both parents and children
- it must include details of nutritional information and ingredients
- a plan must be presented with an oral presentation describing your packaging
Technological Knowledge and Understanding
Objective: Level 1:2a ask questions and share ideas about modifications in familiar technologies
Learning Experiences:

1. mindmap what we do like and what we don't like about bread
2. comparison chart of bread packaging, identify what is common to all types of packaging, prepare questions that will identify differences
3. investigate and discuss nutritional information
4. identify and list needs (nutritional, likes)
5. identify what opportunities could be taken (i.e. advertising using well known cartoon characters)
6. collect a range of advertisements and identify the targeted audience for each bread type
