Fun Night

Two nights ago was Fun Night at our school. It was an opportunity for families to get together and enjoy some fun activities with the local community. My whole family went that night, my little two year old sister, my four year old naughty twin brothers and my Mum.

It started off okay but anything involving my brothers was likely to end in disaster. Mum had warned them before we set off that they must behave, but I knew as the big sister that there would definitely be a problem. As soon as we got there they wanted an ice-cream, then they wanted candy floss and then they wanted lollies! I wanted to see my friends so Mum said I could go as long as I took my brothers with me. As you could imagine I wasn’t very happy with this. We met with my friends and we wandering around looking at all the activities when one my friends noticed that my mischievous brothers had disappeared.

I ran to tell Mum and we all searched the whole school playground. Just as Mum was starting to get really worried there was a deep voice over the intercom “Could the parents of two four year old lost boys who don’t know their names please come to the office to collect them!” Mum raced to the office and what did she see…two naughty ice-creamed covered smiling boys.

Somehow they had managed to get somebody in the office to buy them an ice-cream because they were upset they were lost. Mum looked very embarrassed, thanked the office person and dragged them off out into the fun night again.

I think that we all learnt a lesson that night, for me I can’t look after my little brothers and my mother should get my brothers doing something quickly so that they don’t get into mischief!
