When you start your first game, follow these steps
| Doubleclick the Pharaoh icon on your desktop

| Click Play Pharaoh |
| Click Create New Family |
| Decide on a Family name within your group, type the name in and then click on the Continue arrow |
| Click on Begin Family History |
| These series of missions will guide you through how to set up a city |
| The first mission is the Predynastic Period Click on the arrow by Enter this period |
