Technological Knowledge and Understanding
Objective: Level 2:2a identify and discuss ideas about modifications and adaptations in familiar technologies such as games
Learning Experiences:

1. investigate a variety of games, make comparisons, list differences
2. experiment with the properties of marbles, record results
3. identify what features make a game successful
4. observe others playing a particular games, what sort of behaviours can you identify
5. look at advertisements and read descriptions of games, identify any common descriptions

Technological Capability
Objective: Level 2:6c show and describe examples of their intentions, progress and outcomes to others
Learning Experiences:

1. decide on materials for your mock-up
2. identify the type of games suitable for marbles
3. list a variety of design proposals
4. present proposal to class
5. ask for class feedback  and make preferred solution

Technology and Society
Objective: Level 2:8 explore and compare the roles of some games in daily life in their own and in other places such as a different culture
Learning Experiences:

1.survey friends and family about the types of games they are enjoy playing, graph results and summarise
2. pick a particular culture and investigate what games they play
3. play 2 different games from the games display and discuss with your group what features you liked or disliked. Come to a consensus about what makes a game fun

Assessment
Objective L.2:2a identify and discuss ideas about modifications and adaptations in familiar technologies such as games Assessment Task:
must be able to identify specific factors about games and make comparisons identifying similarities and differences. Should be able to comment about these
Achieving at Level 3
compare significant features of some technologies e.g. user friendliness, practicality
Achieving at Level 2
identify and discuss ideas about modifications and adaptations in familiar technologies such as games
Achieving at Level 1
